<em>think you got enough tags on this post?</em>

Noticed that, didja?

"Fear" seems to cover every single one of those tags.

Americans are afraid of freaking EVERYTHING, these days. They don't even know how to fix their own cars, any more. Couldn't diagnose and treat a minor illness if (this is a joke) their life depended on it. The whole "swine flu vaccine" thing had me shaking my head. "OH NO, I MIGHT GET THE FLU!!!" Let the wailing and gnashing of teeth commence.

I mean, seriously, the only other word that comes to mind is "weak". Well, maybe "fat, stupid, and lazy", too.

I'm so honestly disgusted by the people of the "draft Palin" movement, lining up in the cold to get "an autographed copy" (c'mon, folks, do you HONESTLY think she'll remember you an hour from now?) of her book that I could spit. A 1/2 term governor is a serious contender for the GOP nomination? You have GOT to be kidding me!

But you're not.

Hey, on the bright side, at least the conservatives have stopped killing people. For now. Or is that the "down" side? Maybe we're overdue for another whack job committing another act of domestic terrorism that won't be called exactly that by a media that's forgotten what <del>their job is</del> ethics are.

I'm seriously considering buying 20 acres and putting up a fence. Every 10 feet I'll post a sign; "survivors will be prosecuted". But before that, I'm working on one more idea; national walk off the job day.

Seriously, corporations can't survive without drinking our blood. We CAN shut the fucker down.

But we won't.

You're gonna pull me out one way or another...think you got enough tags on this post?

I would say that what you have wrote here tracks almost perfectly with my own observations of this 'Land of the free, home of the brave'. All politics in this country is fear based. All employer/employee relations are fear based. Nothing new is tried in spite of the obvious failures of the status quo because of fear.

Change always comes. It is just a matter of change coming in a controlled fashion through the implementation of necessary policy adjustments or change coming in a catastrophic fashion because we kept delaying dealing with the problem.
