Speedy

I talked to him on the phone, last night. He was in the hospital with “a mild heart attack” (or at least that’s the way I understood it). After angioplasty and 2 stints he sounded pretty good and expects to go home this weekend.

I already wished him well by phone, but I thought you guys would want to know.

    It seemed to me that out of the blue he wasn’t around so I was hoping he was well — already “praying” for him. Thanks for sharing that with us.

    Tell him that the best part of having a heart attack is that it shows that he HAS a heart, one that is coincidentally much appreciated hereabouts. I’m sure he already knows it, but he can count on all our support.

    I will think of him and count my blessings – all I have are two swollen knees, a ruptured disk in my lower spine, and a recent surgery to remove a small tumour (my bad mood was caused by SOMETHING at least!). If Speedy likes, we can compare medical bills afterwards as an example to the anti-healthcare reform folks!

    My bill so far is – around $40 for 2 months of heavy pain medication.

    Tell Speedy that I’ll post lots of tasty Mediterranean recipes when he comes back so he can get his ticker back on track!
