      I didn’t even know there was dial up any more. I get my phone and internet from the same company and the two together are less than what I used to pay for phone, local calls only.

      Seriously, we dropped our home phone years ago and were cell-only, but when we signed up for cable again the phone, with unlimited long distance, is only 10 bucks a month extra.

        Dialup is still the only option where I live.

        Up through the end of 2010, all any of the service providers would do is bust out laughing at me when I pressed for information when broadband would arrive in my area.

        Now they are saying sometime in the fall of this year.

        I’m not holding my breath though. I’ll believe it when I see it.
