Teabagger Hypocrites

As the Tea Party drives the debate in numerous races, The Daily Beast ranks the states that talk toughest on U.S. spending—while simultaneously swallowing federal largesse.

…for all the braying about the government’s overspending, many states where Tea Party support is strongest coincide with states that suck up the greatest number of federal dollars per capita.

In ranking the most hypocritical states, we looked at the amount of federal funding each state resident received last year compared to percentage of state population that identifies with the Tea Party, a movement that decries such federal funding.
