Unionism

On another thread, an esteemed poster seemed to take issue with the way unionism comes into play. A recent law seriously threatened the already threatened situation of unionism.

Is my interpretation of the recent law wrong?

Is unionism a positive aspect of our body politic?

Does unionism help or hurt workers?

Note – no anti-Obama or anti-Dem stuff here. It’s time that people stop taking things so personally if this is actually a political debate site.

Alvarez. It’s is SUCH BAD FORM to use the front page to post comments about other posters — especially simplistic comments that misrepresent what somebody else has been saying.

    Why?

Because it highlights your remarks in such a way that the only way your target could be assured of having a rebuttal get as much notice as your comments is by responding to you on the front page.

And that would surely make any blog and the people on it look utterly ridiculous.

Let’s keep arguments confined to the comment section. Please?

Now — I’m outta here. The only reason I’ve been having the stamina to type long posts is that I haven’t been working. Even so — I’m tired of “talking.”

I can’t get my script filled (ongoing drug shortages) — making it extremely difficult to work — but without money I damned sure can’t get it filled. And so — I’m going to try tomorrow and Sunday.

The meds help me focus well enough to speak without as much trouble — and help my short term memory so that I don’t keep immediately forgetting things — having to ask people to repeat themselves too much — or not knowing where I just put something — and so on.

I’m gonna catch hell — and feel miserably exhausted. And so — I’ll have to fight with you sometime next week.

But, hey! On the bright side — those drug shortages are largely about all those previously uninsured and uninsurable people now being able to go to doctor and the drug store. So — it’s a little tough while the government and drug companies work to fix it — but I wouldn’t trade it for what we had before.

And hey, if all goes well — come 2014 — I’ll get to join the ranks of the insured and won’t have to damn near kill myself to try to pay for doctor visits and meds — to be able to work. That’s kinda screwed up — working mostly to pay for stuff to be able to work. LOL
