Interesting take by the author, the audience was effectively booing Bush, not Santorum. Maybe I was right when I called him the worst.president.ever.

I don’t recall what the salamander was cheered about in working with Clinton, for sure, but I think it was “balancing the budget” and “producing the first surplus in … decades?”? Even though I’m all for budget surpluses (in good times, and running deficits in times of recession), I have my doubts this is a sign that the GOP electorate is returning to sanity. If, that is, I’m remembering what they cheered correctly.
