That was good!
I’m a big fan of stringed instruments. I can play the guitar, and have a bass, a banjo, and a mandolin (which I say I can’t play, but have fooled some people into thinking I can). I wanted to buy “a fiddle” before I got laid off, but didn’t get to it and am not doing as well financially, these days, so can’t convince the wife I should “throw any more money away”.
I was going to post these videos since I’ve seen them all live, but decided not to.

I haven’t seen these in person, but they continue to fascinate me.

Music is visceral, or perhaps it appeals to our reptilian brain. I dunno how to describe it, I guess. I can’t help but think of a cold (yeah, cold) night in FL, sitting next to a fire and a pool with my friend Speedy, whenever I hear this song;
This is Mindy Abair playing at a PX, a post exchange. Arms fold across chests, even though she’s giving up money (concerts make abut 40 bucks per person) to help out a base exchange. Noble, but never recognized.
I never had the will to live without security long enough to be successful as a musician. (Or, for that matter, as a glass artist.) I had to pick, and I chose being a Ph.D. chemist. We all have to live with the choices we’ve made. We all have our failings. Notice how the crowd support fades in the video, arms fold across chests…
But she keeps playing.
I admire those who choose art and music, even to this day, when art and music are hidden, not important in the all important American “need” to be richer than the guy next to you.
Living in a house without a single picture on the walls is how I imagine the GOP wants us plebes to live.
And without any music to brighten our lives, as well.
Like the scene in “A wrinkle in time”, where the kids all bounce their balls in unison.
Count me out of the GOP vision for Amerika.
I’m gonna bounce my ball out of rhythm, and play my guitar in tune, because what matters to me is how my neighbors hear it.
I can only hope that explanation makes sense to you, as well.

Yes it made sense only you could have left out the gop out. Thanks for the other links. I saw this person when he was just starting out.
