FBI wants a backdoor to your email and facebook accounts.

This IS Obama Government Intrusion!!

FBI: We need wiretap-ready Web sites – now
CNET learns the FBI is quietly pushing its plan to force surveillance backdoors on social networks, VoIP, and Web e-mail providers, and that the bureau is asking Internet companies not to oppose a law making those backdoors mandatory. snip

“We have noticed a massive uptick in the amount of FCC CALEA inquiries and enforcement proceedings within the last year, most of which are intended to address ‘Going Dark’ issues,” says Christopher Canter, lead compliance counsel at the Marashlian and Donahue law firm, which specializes in CALEA. “This generally means that the FCC is laying the groundwork for regulatory action.”

I will NOT stand for it! No vote for Obama.

    “No vote for Obama.”

I think we all get that you won’t be voting for Obama. You live in KS. KS will go to rMoney.

I live in DE. DE will go to Obama.

Alvy, IIRC, is registered in AL or MS. Either way, those states will go to Metch-A-Sketch.

Jo is in CA. CA will go to Obama.

Peen is in TX. TX will go to Willard E. Sketch.

Lloyd’s from MN. MN will go to Obama.

Uzi’s from MI. MI will go to Obama.

“I’ll bet you a thousand dollars!”

Some states don’t matter in Presidential elections, and we all live in them.

Vote any way you want to for POTUS. I don’t care, because it doesn’t matter.

Seriously, vote for Satan if you want to. Or God. Or Minnie Mouse or Goofy or even Pluto. Don’t vote for POTUS. Hell, vote for Ron “America is an island that doesn’t need the rest of the world to survive” Paul. It will make absolutely no difference.

Speedy’s from Florida. Speedy’s vote matters. Maybe. And I’m pretty sure he’ll be voting for Obama.

Now, how can we put liberals back in charge of the congress and send Obama (who is going to win the general election) bills that we like and that he can sign? How can we replace Scalia and “Uncle” Clarence with AT LEAST “moderates”, if not “liberals”? How do we keep some RW nutjob from replacing Ginsberg, who’s like a million years old?

Here’s the way I see the POTUS election.

      Obama 257, Romneybot 209.

The “battleground states” will be FL, OH, MO, CO, NV.

Honestly, I think Harry Reid can deliver NV’s 6 electoral votes, making the margin Obama 263, rMoney 209.

270 to win. Obama needs to win only ONE of FL, OH, MO, or CO. I think his best shots are in FL and CO. OH is corrupt, and MO has gone increasingly batshit, lately.

BTW, Obama’s going after AZ, which is probably smart because of their increasing Latino population, but I think all they can do there is get the dog torturer to spend a lot of rMoney. They won’t win that batshit crazy state.

      I think CO is key.

So, assuming we have a POTUS who won’t rubber stamp the worst shit a GOP congress might deliver, what can we do to elect a congress who won’t represent the John Birch Society/Koch brothers better than they represent us commoners?

Assuming Mr. Sketch wins the POTUS, what can we do to elect a congress who will send him lots of bills he’ll want to veto?

Come on, T. We are NOT where we live. I live in a heavily Democrat voting county. That is why I am here. There is more balance here. Of course, the powers that be in Kansa are trying like Hades to gerrymander the Dems out of this city.

But I really do not think there is much difference between Mitt and Barak. I really don’t.

No thoughts about how the government is intruding in your life, whether it be done under Bush or Obama?

“No thoughts about how the government is intruding in your life, whether it be done under Bush or Obama?”

It boils down to this; What are you doing about it?

Constant posts condemning the POTUS aren’t doing a thing about the problem you post about.

Electing congresscritters who will pass laws ending this kind of shit, and ensuring they’re sent to a POTUS who will sign them, will get the job done.

Seriously, relentless “Obama sucks” posts aren’t getting us any closer to the goal. Define your vision. Visualize how to get there. But “Obama sucks” is just complaining that things aren’t perfect, yet.

However, they do balance out the “how great is Obama” posts.

I looked at every post back to Feb. 27. On March 25th I made an “Obama is great” post, and in that post I admitted that I was just poking you guys with a sharp stick.

              http://www.timbuk3.com/discuss/?p=7807

              Since 3/25 there have been 3 “Obama is either Satan or Hitler” posts, all made by uni;

              http://www.timbuk3.com/discuss/?p=8042

              http://www.timbuk3.com/discuss/?p=7812

One that’s not so much “Obama is great” but “rMoney REALLY sucks” by me

              http://www.timbuk3.com/discuss/?p=8008

              And one that doesn’t mention Obama but points out that Mitt E. Sketch is obscenely wealthy, by me;

              http://www.timbuk3.com/discuss/?p=7938

              Seems kinda unbalanced, to me.

It will be a narrow margin. If you will notice, almost all elections are a narrow margin these days … by design.

The exit polls will reveal the truth on voters sentiments, not the actual electronic counts. That is why there was so much effort to defame the exit polls.

I have an account that doesn’t use my name. No one can find me. But I did want to see some of the stuff my spouse posted, and he had encouraged it.

Facebook wrote to me and told me “We don’t think this is your name.”
I wrote back, “No, it is not my name.” Nothing more was ever said about it. LOL.

I am going to put what could be considered two posts together here.

There is some hope for the US Constitution in Kansas:

Appeals court says Lawrence officer violated Fourth Amendment in DUI case

      May 5, 2012

A Kansas Court of Appeals panel has ruled a Lawrence police officer overstepped the bounds of the Fourth Amendment when she stuck her foot under a garage door to confront and later arrest a suspect in his home in 2009.

But please do not swing far left. The far left is as bad as the far right.

      Moderation in all things.

“But please do not swing far left. The far left is as bad as the far right.”

        I agree…. BUT:

If one considers that the current political spectrum is between center-right and the extreme right, a far left party is almost a necessity in order to reestablish an ideological balance, if not a political one.

You can’t have 2 parties disagreeing on the topical but agreeing wholeheartedly on the basics.

This is from 1919 and things haven’t changed much:
