Staying Home, Or Voting GOP, is…

taking a stand on the side of pure evil. “Hail Satan!”

The GOP’s Bizarre, Disturbing Passion for Raising Taxes on the Poor

Let’s hope the Republican Party is bought and paid for by the rich, because the other explanation for its obsession with raising taxes at the bottom is far more disturbing

“There is no difference between the two parties” is a bullshit argument. There are shitty Democrats, and I’d join anyone with a plan to replace them with liberal Democrats (but no one has one), but ONLY Democrats have a progressive wing. Let’s make it larger, when and where we can. But we need to recognize that electing a liberal Democrat in OK is somewhat less likely than winning the next lottery. Don’t just “live to fight another day”, but learn from your defeats and learn WHERE to fight.

Hand control of the Federal Government off to the Republicans in the next election, and you’re enabling Satan, in the form of the Koch brothers and their ilk, to take control of the world.

Combat stupidity. Teach life-long Republican voters that “this isn’t the party your dad voted for.” Point out that “trickle down” had been the policy for decades, and it’s NEVER worked. Do what you have to do, but friends don’t let friends vote Republican, or let them stay home and let Republicans win by default.

I mean, seriously, the baggers don’t even believe their own friggin’ book;

Matthew 25:31-46

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.

Repeating the lie that “there’s no difference” between the GOP and ANY other party, including the Democrats, is passively ignorant or actively malicious, depending on how much you actually know/are in denial about.

Staying home or voting in a way that puts ANY Republican in ANY public office is voting for pure evil regardless of the purity of your motive. Vote, and vote for ANYONE who can beat the Republican, regardless of party, or you’re enabling the all-out assault on everyone you know (and admittedly that usually means voting for the Democrat.)

House Democrats Propose Increasing Minimum Wage To $10

A group of House Democrats have proposed increasing the minimum wage to $10, which, as Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) pointed out would allow the wage to “catch up” with where it would be had it been allowed to grow with inflation:

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) and 17 House Democrats, including several Congressional Black Caucus members, proposed legislation Wednesday that would increase the minimum wage to $10 an hour.

Jackson said his bill, the Catching Up to 1968 Act, is needed to give low-income workers a way to “catch up” to inflation, which continues to eat away at the current federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour. He also said it would give these workers more income and boost overall demand for the struggling economy.

House approves bill to repeal medical device tax

The bill would pay for the $29 billion cost of repealing the device tax by requiring low- to middle-income individuals who buy subsidized coverage in the Affordable Care Act’s health exchanges to pay back the full amount of any overpayments they may receive.

The “difference” is packaging. In reality, as long as both parties are basically in love with neoliberal economic policies and the same-old CFR garbage, thinking that there’s a real difference is “passively ignorant or actively malicious”.

I’ll take it a step further. Writing from Spain, where the crisis broke under a “socialist” government that had embraced the “third way”, it is becoming clearer that “democracy” is a kabuki wherein two parts of a political CLASS play different segments of the electorate against one another while, in reality, pandering to the real power (finance, industry and the like).

One side here, there, and just about everywhere, panders to those who want lip service paid to social goals. They take lukewarm stands in order to point to them when elections come about – and then pander to the banks and their ilk. The other side panders to pseudo-libertarian values, and pander to the banks and their ilk.

Agreed. This is why, until recently, the GOP has hidden their true agenda from the voters.

I’m exhausted. Can’t reply to anything else, tonight.

Oh btw, whatever leak there was, I demand more of the same!

Financial mania: Why bankers and politicians failed to heed warnings of the credit crisis
    June 7, 2012
Western economies displayed the same kind of manic behaviour as psychologically disturbed individuals in the run up to the 2008 credit crisis — and it could happen again, according to a new study.
