Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged
The only reason I'm glad those hypocrites, Frist and DeLay, and the rest of
those blood cult pseudo-Christians are attempting to judge everyone else and
characterize liberals as godless heathens, is because scripture says they are
going to get theirs. Big Time!
When I look at all the teachings of Christ that they ignore I automatically
start humming, "There'll Be A Hot Time In The Old Town Tonight".
Christ taught us to feed the poor. The "pseudos" rob from the poor and give to
the rich. They give tax cuts to the richest in the country and cut the programs
that help the poor and needy.
They want to post the Ten Commandments all over our public institutions. It must
be so they can keep track of all the ones they break. Maybe they don't know that
"Thou shalt not bear false witness" means that if you lie, your judgment
elevator won't have an up button.
They talk about a "culture of life", but their actions promote a culture of
death.
The message Christ brought was Love. Love your enemies. Love your neighbor as
yourself. The message of the "pseudos" is Hate.
Christ was tolerant. They are intolerant of everyone who has a thought that
differs from theirs.
Christ taught us to be charitable. They are greedy.
Do their televangelist preachers live simply, emulating Christ or do they adorn
themselves with the most expensive custom suits, ride in limousines and build up
private financial empires?
Those political Pharisees make a show of piety in public. It takes more than
quoting scripture to be a Christian. In fact Christ saw through those types and
their pious hypocrisy.
Should we have prayer in school? It is not the unbelievers who say, "No!" It is
the believers in the lesson Christ taught us in the Sermon on the Mount recorded
in Matt. 6:5-6 "And when ye pray, ye shall not be as the hypocrites: for they
love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that
they may be seen of men. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thine inner
chamber, and having shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret, and thy
Father who seeth in secret shall recompense thee." Prayer is a personal and
private communication with God. Christ couldn't have been more clear.
Now, the hypocrites see themselves as the exclusive "people of faith" and are
trying to paint those who don't agree with them and their judicial nominees as
against the "people of faith". They want to impose their will, the will of man,
on the entire country. They are trying to use religion to push through an agenda
that ignores our Constitution, the principles of democracy as set forth by our
founding fathers and the principles of Christianity as taught by Christ.
They call themselves "born agains". That's good. I would much rather they call
themselves that than to call themselves Christians because they don't practice
Christianity. Maybe instead of being "re-born" they should just "re-read" the
lessons taught by Christ and try putting them in practice.
